Intel Nuc D54250Wyk Drivers: How to Troubleshoot Common Issues

I can certainly sympathize with your situation but I doubt there will be an official Windows XP driver released for the NUC. I'm not involved with development, but given the fact that Microsoft is discontinuing support for XP and urging everyone on it to upgrade it seems unlikely there will be anything in the way of new drivers.

According to USB 3.0 specification it can handle up to 5Gbps (640 MBps) which is over ten times as fast as the USB 2.0 maximum. However, there are different factors which interfere and prevent the Intel NUC d54250wyk (and any other electronic devices which use the USB 3.0 specification) from reaching the highest data transfer rates proposed.

Additionally, you could try downloading and installing the latest USB drivers for the Intel NUC d54250wyk. Intel Download Center or by using the _US/support/detect?iid=dc_iduu Intel Driver Update Utility.

Thank you. I've already made sure the drivers are the most current and I've tested the transfer ratte on the Samsung mSata with the same benchmark and it gets well over 4000MB/s. I wonder why the USB is sooo slow.

Once you have downloaded your new driver, you'll need to install it. In Windows, use a built-in utility called Device Manager, which allows you to see all of the devices recognized by your system, and the drivers associated with them.

Hi I am trying to install the LAN drivers on NUC5I7RYH, I cannot find LAN_Win8.1_64_PROWin_19.3.exe drivers, only can get LAN_Win8.1_64_PROWin_19.1.exe. Tried to carry out the same steps but failed. Any ideas where I can get LAN_Win8.1_64_PROWin_19.3.exe or a work around for the current driver I have.

All Intel NUC systems have hardware support for virtualization and a 64-bit capable CPU. Therefore it should be compatible to VMware ESX. SATA and Network drivers are not included in the ESXi Base Image, so you have to create a customized Image. This is very easy with ESXi-Customizer by v-front.de:

To install the NUC you need an external USB CD drive. Create a customized ESXi ISO and use the USB CD drive to install the NUC. When you have the proper drivers installed, the installation should succeed without problems. I would recommend to install ESXi on an USB Stick. That allows to use the SSD and HDD for VMware vSphere features like VSAN.

FYI - I was able to install ESXi 6.0 Beta on my 4th gen NUC (D34010WYK) without injecting any drivers; it recognized the nic AND my Patriot Pyro M3 mSATA disk right out of the box. Still doesn't seem to recognize the Intel 7260 WLAN card though, but then I've never tried to use wireless on an ESXi server. Is it even supposed to work?

Hi,I Have a brand new Intel nuc D54250WYK with windows 8.1, all updates (drivers and software) and Kinect is going on and off when running.I Run the Kinect V2 Configuration Verifier and is complaining with the USB controller "Supported USB 3.0 port detected with unknown bandwidth." I just got the NUC (Core I5) and i checked the Kinect Requirements (USB 3) and is what i have. What should i do ? Please Advice,

We have run into a similar issue...this morning after plugging in the Kinects, the drivers or firmware automatically updated, and from that point forwards, we are experiencing the exact same thing. The Kinect stays on for 20 or so seconds, turns off, then turns back on again.

As you know, I am using an Intel NUC as my Windows Server lab machine, where I run Windows Server 2019 and Hyper-V on. Many people asked me about how you can install the Intel NUC Windows Server 2019 Network Adapter driver because there are no Windows Server 2019 drivers for it. My blog reader, Michael Williams, shared how you can install the Windows Server 2019 Network adapter drivers on the Intel NUC 8th generation.

Huge thank you again to Michael Williams for sharing that with us. I hope this short blog post provides you a step by step guide on how you can install Windows Server 2019 Network adapter drivers on the Intel NUC. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment.

I was able to successfully get the Intel NIC drivers updates following this procedure, Thank you! Are we able to complete the same results in a Server Core installation? Would you be able to use the Export-WindowsDriver Powershell to then Import to a Windows Server Core installation? Thanks.

Johnvy- You don't have to download USB drivers for the NUC on Windows 8; it uses the built-in Microsoft drivers for that. You only need them for Windows 7.I didn't have that problem with mine; I just did a fresh install of Windows 8, then I installed the chipset drivers from this page: -NUC-Kit-D54250WYKIf you did an upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 8 it's possible that there are some legacy drivers installed causing you problems. Just uninstall the "Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver" if you happen to see it listed in your installed programs.

This is where you want to be, and for this you need get a real driver certificate that is cross-signed with Microsoft. I ended up buying Kernel-Mode Code Signing Certificates from Digicert for 223 USD (1 year) but I have seen deals as low as 178 USD / year. I just happen to like Digicert because they are awesome. Here are the steps for fixing and signing the Intel network drivers for Windows Server 2016. In these steps I assume you have bought a certificate:

Audio output to a TV is provided by the Intel High Definition Audio through the HDMI v1.4a interface and/or the DisplayPort* 1.1a interface through the PCH (depending on your model). HDMI audio drivers are included with the graphics driver available for your Intel NUC product.

The full height SSD card is installed over the Wi-Fi card and secured with a single screw, and the memory modules snap in exactly as they do on a notebook system. We installed Windows 8 using a USB optical drive and then installed the chipset, networking, and graphics drivers.

So I simply adjusted the AliasUserExit.vbs to fit those properties and the task sequence completed successfully injecting all the drivers in Windows 7 (all the drivers were previously catched via PowerShell from a Win 8.1 system thanks to another great post made by Mikael).

I looked into it when Haswell first came out, only to find that no motherboard manufacturer offered any drivers whatsoever for Windows XP, much less Windows 2000 (aside from Intel's own chipset device software).
